  • Engaging the Customer – Target Style

I have posted a couple of times about Best Buy and IdeaXchange – which is BB’s attempt at engaging the customer in a conversation that isn’t focused on selling product. I like the intent, I am concerned with the approach – specifically calling it a test and not locating it on the BB website.

Then I came across this post about a recent ad placed by Target over at Learned On Women.

With that in mind, I took note of a full page Target ad in last Sunday’s New York Times. The simple message “Tell us what more we can do for you?” That was followed by a decently legible email address (not a teeny one at the bottom) and the words, “we’ll get back to you shortly.

Blog author, Andrea Learned, ends the post by asking her readers that responded to the ad to share their experiences…and I will end the same way here. Did you see the ad? Did you email Target? Have you heard anything?
