Mobile Marketing: Time to Consider it

Mobile marketing is here – are you ready?

    • 91% of all U.S. citizens have their mobile device within reach 24/7 (Morgan Stanley)
    • 70% of all mobile searches result in action within one hour (Mobile Marketer)
    • Mobile coupons get 10 times the redemption rate of traditional coupons (Borrell Associates)
    • Mobile ad spend worldwide is predicted to be $3.3 billion in 2011 and $20.6 billion in 2015 (mobiThinking)

(Now, the last bullet point doesn’t carry a lot of weight for me – it’s possible that the increase in spending is nothing more than “…well, they’re doing it so I better do it too…”  But I listed it because some people find that kind of factoid of value.)

But here’s something you need to remember – your website and your emails are being read on smartphones.  Are they designed to be read on smartphones?
