After staggering through several of these tours a few years ago when my daughter was going through the process, I was so incredibly happy to read this article in the New York Times.
Now I have to admit I hadn’t thought about the importance of walking backward or alongside the guests, but I sure do appreciate the concept of ASKING THE GUESTS what’s important to them so it can be addressed!
Has your institution evaluated its tour recently? How long is it? (I was amazed to read in the article that one institution has a 90-minute tour – that just seems a bit aggressive to me.) What is the focus and why?
