This week was filled with great conversations with clients about how to approach and benefit from social media – and some less than positive experiences with self-proclaimed social media experts that truly support Buyer Beware!

(RANT WARNING: I am tired of you telling anyone/everyone that social media delivers “Incredible results for my business” only to have you respond to questions concerning your results with [a] “I have 50,000 followers!”, [b] “It’s about branding – and you obviously don’t get it!”, or [c] “It’s not my job to teach you.”  Thanks for the real life example of how you engage and nurture someone that might need and pay for your expertise at some point in the future – and an extra big thanks for those snarky responses that were sent out in order to feed your own ego while trying (failing) to make others feel small.  END OF RANT)

These are three great posts – I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.

    Social Media Example #25: Yoplait

I really love this approach – Christian Sullivan selects a company/brand and evaluate its social media efforts (or, in this case, lack thereof).  This time, you get to see Yoplait sputter – which helps you learn from their actions as well as inactions.
